Dakar, Senegal, Manchester, England and now Chanel has added Hangzhou, China to its long list of destinations. The French luxury brand announced this week that it will present Chanel Is Staging Its Next Métiers d’ Art show In China + More Fashion News 2025 collection on December 3, 2024, in the Chinese city often referred to as ‘Heaven on Earth’ for its ‘western’ Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
For the uninitiated, the Métiers d’Art collection “since 2021 presents the extraordinary know-how of maisons d’art artisans in conjunction with le19M, a space dedicated to the creation and distribution of Métiers d’art. The art is based in Paris. Since Hangzhou is a major textile hub, you can expect unparalleled craftsmanship and attention to detail, and maybe even some silk.
